All chest feathers are gone

I have two chickens that have gone broody. All of the feathers are gone from their chest. Is this okay? Will they come back? I'm assuming it's because they just want to lay in the nest box all day. I tried putting them in a cage for a week. It broke them from being broody for only a day. Then they went right back to the nest box.
