Macaws are beautiful birds. I'm studying the care of aviary birds and it is incredibly to realize just how many species are kept around the world. Most of the macaw species have been kept at one time or another, whether it be in their native country or in Europe or America.

The most common are the:
Blue and Yellow Macaw, Scarlet Macaw, Military Macaw, and Blue Winged Macaw, with some of the rarest being the Hyacinth and Spix's.

If i had to choose some of my favorite birds that are found in the jungles around the world. Macaws would be one of them (And of course Toucans....but thats a different subject)

I just find their coloring, personality's, the amount of smarts they have, and the fact that they pair for life, is just so sweet. What wonderful and beautiful birds they are.
