all the eggs are ....gone...

My broody was sitting 4 chicken eggs 1 duck egg. One day there were 3 eggs. I thought I was losing my mind then said no I miss counted.
Well 2 wks later...the other 3 chicken eggs are just gone....nowhere in the coop or attached run. Miss broody is still sitting on the nest9

Sorry about your loss!

sometimes rats or even a snake will come in take an egg
sometimes other hens will steal eggs when the hen is out of the nest.

I had a little snake that would come in steal an egg and then leave coming back another day I guess one egg at a time was all he could handle!!!
caught him but too late for several of my eggs!!!
I put a cage around my broody hens with a separate waterer and feeder so nothing can get in.
