When you see references to the breeds
    ISA Brown
    Hubbard Brown
    Red Sex Link
    Gold Comet
    Red Star

Are these all referring to the same breed of chicken?

I don't know about Hubbard Brown, but the rest are.

Thanks Becky! Funny the same breed would have so many different names.

It's like trade names. Same product, different companies call their version something different.

I think that technically they are not quite the same, but they all use the gold/silver sex linked genes.
Most of those names are types of commercial hybrid which were specially developed by the poultry industry as layers. The various names will, in many cases, be unique to the company that developed the particular strains which are used to produce their hybrids. [IMG]

Krys is right. All are sexlinks, but use different breeds to make them. Basically you have gold, red and black sexlinks with each having several trade names.
