OK. I ordered 7 chicks from MPC and they are now a week old. Their wing feathers are coming in so they are starting to look different from each other. I ordered a white crested Black Ploish, 2 Buff Orp, 1 NH Red, 2 Australorps and one Barred Plymouth. Here are my guesses.....

the 2 Australorps

the polish (this one I KNOW)

the Barred Plymouth--spot on head and beak is diff color

the Buff Orps

the NH Red

yay, me!!!!

I am already planning for several more in the spring!! Our coop is going to have 6 nesting boxes. I have read 1 box for 3-4 chicks and out coop is 4x8 with a 8x12 run. I figure that means I can get 4-6 more!!

Do I have a beginners grasp of Chicken Math?
