Hi! I recently hatched 15 babies. Dad was a black Australorp and moms were all different breeds (Australorp, Barred Rock, Red Star, something that's black and brown, white Leghorn, and an Easter Egger).

This baby, named Saturday, hatched on 4/3, which would make her 2 1/2 weeks old today. Some of her siblings hatched 5 days before her so it's hard for me to tell if she's growing at the same rate as them or not. Does she look small to you guys? She is growing some and developing feathers, but I wanna get more opinions.

Do you have a digital kitchen scale you can use to weigh the chick daily?

As long as they are gaining each day, the chick is growing. Maybe take the weight of your older chicks at the same time, and compare this chick's weight in 5 days to see if its on target. I was weighing one of mine daily when it got sick, it was gaining about 5 grams a day at around 2 weeks old, but it was sick and that may have had an impact.

I think rate of feather growth can vary between breeds.
