Well here I am yet again wondering if I have a Cockerel on my hands. I’m pretty sure I know the answer but wanted some expert opinions. This Ameraucana is almost six weeks old. I know the standard wait for Ameraucana is about 10 weeks before you can for sure know. But this feathered baby started sporting a very pink comb last week. It’s also larger than the other chicks I have. Any guesses?

It doesn't look like a cockerel to me now but it definitely could still be one at this early of an age. Give it a few more weeks and try again.

I just went through 11 of them finding only 4 pullets the rest cockerel
not half bad when it comes to them after a certain age
