Ameraucana chicks

Question about purebred Ameraucana chicks - thought I was getting purebred chicks, blue and some black. They are about 2 mos. old and still are not showing any cheek puffs or beards. My other Ameraucana crossbreds had quite noticeable cheek puffs and some had beards. The eyes are also either black or grey. Just wondering if I should go back to the seller as they certainly don't seem the same as what I did have which wasn't purebred. Could someone tell me a bit more about this.
