I am hoping the pet store has not sold out since Friday, because I want some Ameraucana chicks, but I want real ones I have EE already and I want a guarantee on colored eggs... so how do I tell if they are true Ameraucanas or EE????(my EE are only a week old)[IMG]

Rule of thumb: If you buy them from a pet store, they are EEs. If you get them from the feed store, they are EEs. If you get them from a hatchery, they are EEs. If you buy them from a breeder, they MIGHT be the real thing.
That is how you tell. Just get the Easter Eggers, they're great birds!
  3. If your wanting the look...most EE's have a very similar look to Ameraucana's. If you want the guarantee of blue eggs, EE will not make it. I have 3 26 week EE, only one is laying. She lays pretty little tan eggs - no blue, no green:( But they still taste delish:)

There is a TON of info about the differences between EE's and Ameraucanas in the breeds section.
Check the sticky at the top.
Go to, and chick out the breeders list, and ask for pics.
