    Welcome to BYC!!!!
Ameraucana are definitely one breed that you want to be very careful about your sourcing due to the widespread misrepresentation/misinformation about the breed which often results in one getting Easter Eggers vs. the true bred birds they are seeking. Are you wanting exhibition quality birds?

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. X2 on the warnings about getting EEs instead of true Ameraucanas. Make sure that you have a good handle on the Characteristics of true Ameraucanas before you buy. There is a good article at http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/2011/09/ameraucana-easter-egger-or-araucana.html explaining the difference between Ameraucanas, Araucanas, and Easter Eggers. If you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is loads of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck in getting your Ameraucanas.

Good luck finding the birds you are looking for. You may want to try posting on your state's thread to see if someone near you has what you are looking for or you can try the buy/sell/trade forum once you have 20 posts.

I am looking for definitely looking for high quality bird and bloodlines. I do not show but understand the importance of quality. I have a small backyard flock right now if Silkies and a BCM which I spared no expense too. Trying to find close to home in CT so I can invest in bird verses shipping and travel expenses:))
