Ameraucana Male of Female??

I ordered 5 female ameraucanas from Mcmurray’s earlier this summer but this one has a much more pronounced comb. It is much larger and redder than the other four. So that left me wondering if it was a rooster??

Umm..what did it turn out to be? I don’t know about feathering, but, mine has much more comb, just laid its 6th egg..

This bird was a young male. Your adult female EE would obviously have more comb because she’s laying, but this one has a developing comb. He’s get more comb than a young female his age would, but less than a mature female chicken would.
