It isnt an ameraucana. It is an easter egger rooster. (it was probably sold to you as an ameraucana though).

What's the difference between an Ameraucana and an Easter Egger?

Pure Ameraucana's come from a breeder and are certain color patterns. See here:
    http://www.ameraucana.org/scrapbook.html

EE's are mixes, sold by hatcheries, feed stores, and sometimes people sell them thinking they are pure Ameraucana's. You can usually tell by how they spell it. Americana is how hatcheries label them. They can come in a variety of color patterns.

It is a rooster, but it isn't an Ameraucana. Her is an Easter Egger. Easter Eggers are birds that have some Ameraucana or Araucana ancestry, but do not fit a APA recognized color pattern. They usually lay greenish eggs, and are just as personable as Amearaucanas, but cannot be shown.
