Hey guys! This is my first flock! Absolutely loving them! I purchased 14 birds so far, and 2 of which I was told were ameraucanas, I have read all across the internet you often get sold Easter Eggers from hatcheries even when they call them ameraucanas... either way I don't mind, just out of plain curiosity can I even tell the difference at a young age? They are a couple days over 4 weeks now, just wondering if there are any signs I could look for? Or are they just too young?

Thanks guys for taking the time,

Brittany

Cute little Easter eggers.

Ameraucana only come in specific colors---black, wheaten, etc. Most hatcheries don't carry pure bred birds, and those that do charge accordingly.

Many of us enjoy EE more than pure Ameraucana. More variety in feather and egg color, and often higher production of eggs.

Wonderful! Thank yall! I was mainly wanting colorful eggs, thought that would be a lot of fun. Hopefully these ones will lay different colors :)
