I have a 15 month old Ameraucana( maybe? She lays light olive) that has stopped laying eggs. She was never a very consistent layer, but it has now been about 6 weeks. She eats, poops, walks, & acts normal. There have been so many coop changes over the last few months; one hen died; we introduced 3 new pullets & at the same time one hen went broody. We decided to let her hatch 2 chicks. They are no longer here. It is summer & has been very hot. Would the coop changes cause her to stop laying & this long? Weather? I was feeding them all flock because of the different ages, but back to layer feed w/ oyster shells in addition. They only get mealworms & other treats at most 2x/week. I did notice that her long tail feathers have either fallen out or been plucked out. No other feather loss. But, she is acting totally normal. I have supplemented with some probiotic in the water & occasional herbal supplements for heat /stress for chickens... But I'm stumped.
We have 8 hens. They have a 4x6 coop & two separate runs over 120 sq ft total. They never hang out inside the coop, so I don't believe it is a space issue.
Any thoughts or tips would b great.
