Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

I'm not sure if Henry was referring to White or SW but just to clarify, there is no "Standard" for the SW - yet. There has been some talk about trying to get one though.

God Bless,

This is one of my babies. We named her Phyllis.

Henry, please accept my apology. I don't know what I was thinking. I got you mixed up with Darwin. You've both contacted me in the past about my Ameraucana eggs & I just got you mixed up. Sorry about that.

God Bless,

I am miss my Ameraucana! I like LF I actually don't like the look of bantams for some reason even though I like bantam faverolles. I think I will probably try and start a nice flock of buffs or brown reds eventually I love the brown red color and would love to try and improve the birds in that variety.

I would give anything to have the sun come out more this year....here it is middle of June and the warmest day we have had this year was 82 and that just happened on Saturday. We have had more rain longer this year than normal.....and being raised here in the rainy Pac Northwest you would think that I would be used to it......HA....no way! Bring on some sun!

Thanks! They have stolen my heart and fast became my special spoiled rotten little pets. They are very friendly and inquistive, especially the little roo. Oh my gosh the beards and muffs on these guys are out of control huge and fluffy. I just love them! Here is the little roo...I wouldn't trade him for anything! He is the sweetest one in the bunch.

I got some bantam lavender ameraucanas in April and have just fallen in love with them also. They have quickly become my favorites because of thier friendly dispositions. Unfortunatley, I think most of them are boys!
