[IMG][IMG]These 2 4 month old hens have "fat cheeks" and beautiful feathering. Does anyone know what they are and what color?[IMG][/IMG][/IMG]

Most Ameraucanas you get from feed stores or hatcheries are EE's and there are many different colors but I don't think that there are color names for them. I have an EE that looks like one of yours.

They are EEs. They dont have color names, some people try to come up with there own color names for them.

Easter eggers, meaning they are bred to lay blue or green eggs. They're both female, and no actual "color".

Those are Easter Eggers. Easter Eggers are chickens that lay blue-green eggs, and have Ameraucana ancestors, but are mixes between two chicken breeds. They come in many colors, but they should not be shown, and will not always breed true when crossed together. However, they are gentle birds, that are generally good layers.

they can lay pink and brown eggs too! Easter eggers actually cant be shown.I have seen people trying to show EEs as ameraucanas. Sometimes the judges dont DQ them. Dont understand why but I guess that is their call since they are the judge.
