Americana or Easter Egger?

She is only 4 months old and hasn't started laying yet. We ordered her from My Pet Chicken in an assortment of mixed chicks her legs are green and she is one of the sweetest chicks we have! Do you think she is an Easter Egger Or Americana ?

Americanas are just EEs.
Ameraucanas, however, are a pure breed. Which she is not.

And the breed is spelled Ameraucana. Be suspicious of anyone misspelling it.

Americana is an EE. Ameraucana is a purebred (notice there’s not an i). Some hatcheries will call EE ameraucanas even though they are not purebreds. It’s hard to find a purebred.

Ameraucanas have muffs and beards and only lay blue eggs, EEs can have those too, but not consistently. If she lays olive or brown then you know she’s not Ameraucana, if they’re blue and she has the muff and beard then you may never know.... probably an EE

Actually, there's an easy way to tell - do they match any APA standard colors, or project colors? Do they breed true? If not then they are EEs.
