americana roo?

the other morning when i opened the coop to let the girls range one of them crowed. this never happened before or since but today i noticed what appear to be spur buds on my 16 wk old americana. could it be I got a rooster? when I got the day olds they were suposed to all be pullets. I live in town and my neighbors are ok with hens but not roo's.

Most, if not all chickens have spur buds. Pictures help to figure out who is who. Roosters (or cockerels) tend to have a very red three rowed comb or dark red accents to the wings and back. Pleease keep us updated!
