Starting a few weeks ago - chicken at 3 months old - started crowing very loudly at 6am - returned from vacation a few weeks later and still crowing continuously between 6am and 8am.

Have tried using a crow collar with mixed results.

Initial research online of physical characteristics of pullet vs. cockrel led me to believe its a pullet (round tail feathers, no spurs, etc.) but not sure.

Would appreciate any feedback - multiple pictures below

He is 100% cockerel, and he is an Easter egger, not Ameraucana. Crow collars get mixed reviews. They can choke and kill a rooster, so many choose not to use them.

Big, red comb. Rounded tail feathers. Pointed feathers in the saddle area, which is toward the back of the body below the tail. And crowing is a pretty big one. Females can crow but it is pretty unusual.

Totally agree with @JedJackson on this. That's a cockerel, no doubts. Here's what he's talking about with the saddle feathers. Tail feathers on all birds are rounded... its the saddle feathers and hackle feathers that will sharp and pointed on a cockerel.

And I totally agree that this is an easter egger, not an ameraucana.
