We have one Americauna chick that is about a week and a half old. We are wondering when to tell what gender it is. Does anyone know any signs about the sex early on?

There is absolutely no way to tell at this age without having an experienced vent sexer on hand. Around 10-14 weeks is when most Easter Eggers will begin to develop obvious sex characteristics.

Please note that the chick you have is not an "Americauna" (correct spelling Ameraucana) but an Easter Egger. These are crossbreeds of Ameraucanas and other breeds and are often mislabeled as Ameraucanas or Americanas.
