i really want to hatch baby chicks without an incubator and i want to know if i could possibly hatch with a brown/red americona standered? shes not broody but my neighbor tells me she will..... need opinion.

Broody hens are all hormonal. You can't make them broody and you can't keep them broody. It is all up to them when and for how long they want to sit, and if they will make good mothers or not. Some are some are not. Best bet is an incubator, or to just wait, some birds will never be broody.
