I've got 10 - 10-week old "chicks." 4 Rhode Island Reds (one definitely is a roo), 2 brown Leghorns (one also is definitely a roo) and 4 "Americunas" (or so the feed-store told me). None of the Easter-eggers have combs and all of them seem to have fatter bodies and down-sloped tail feathers, but a couple of them have very distinct muff/beard feathering. The one pictures also has more coloring that the others. I'm really hoping none of the EEers are roos because I think 3 roos to 7 pullets would not go well and would require me to have a much bigger space (which is possible but not in my immediate plans).
Could anyone tell me if this muffed beauty is a roo or pullet?
