Amish Friendship Bread ~ Pistachio Bread
Use 2 large mixing bowls (metals ok at this point)
In the 1st bowl, mix the following wet ingredients well:
1 portion starter dough (see "Amish Friendship Bread Starter Recipe" thread for this recipe)
½ C vegetable oil
½ C milk
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons almond (or imitation) extract
½ teaspoon green food coloring
In the 2nd bowl, mix the following dry ingredients well by hand:
2 C flour
1 C sugar
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
2 Small boxes Pistachio flavored pudding Diet is ok.
Add dry ingredients to wet slowly, mixing well after each addition. Spray loaf pan(s). Pour into either 1 large sized loaf pan, 2 medium sized loaf pans or 4 small loaf pans. Bake @ 350 for 45-60 min (depending on loaf pan sizes) until knife comes out clean. Pop out of loaf pan immediately and cool on rack.
