Since my little OEGB, Amoeba, can't seem to get along with any chicken I own and since she is tiny and super friendly, I've decided to make her a house hen. She lives in a large dog cage with shredded newspaper covering the bottom and her food (scratch, meal worms, various fruits and veggies, bread) is hidden in it. I ordered her some diapers from Louise's Country Closet in this pattern:

The pattern matches her temperament perfectly.[IMG]

Some pics of her modeling it:

After several minutes she is comfortable enough to start preening.

I leave it on her for 10-20 minutes each day till she is totally used to it (she still tips over an staggers around for the first couple of minutes and then acts like it's not even there after awhile).

Amoeba sounds like a little spit fire. I love OEGB. I'm glad she is getting used to her diaper despite some initial drama. I bet you will have a lot of stories to tell about her since she will be a house hen.

Like how she is a feathered roomba? My carpet has never been cleaner![IMG]

She is 100% comfortable with the diaper now, just has issues with landing when she tries to fly (she forgets she's wearing it and ends up falling off whatever she landed on). She also appears to be talking to my three parakeets. They make noise, she makes noise.
