Angel baby fussed and fussed. We gave her food, water trimmed her nails. Held her close still she would lay close to the coops with roosters. She especially loved the silkie roosters. She seemed to match with them..Her size,.her personality, but she was not a silkie. Then one day,.the coop door was slightly ajar. One silkie rooster ran through. He showed the hens fine eating spots, and a few sprouts. Angel baby fell in love. Three days later the farmer was feeding chickens and found one egg close to the Rhode island reds but right next to where the handsome silkie rooster slept every night. Being of poor eyesight the old man could not remember which egg was the egg angel baby had protected. Not knowing his mistake he put the egg in the incubator with test eggs being set there to see if certain hens were ready to be mother's. Today the egg hatched. The baby has some silkies feathers that are the black color of favorelle roosters. But we don't know what will happen next. Story to be continued.
