    Haha I knew people here would get my excitement so I had to share. Thanks for understanding. ;)

    I am not sure which of my young hens produced it, I am inclined toward my hybrid as she was a bit older than the others and I read where they start pretty young. My hens are only 4.5 months old I did not expect eggs for a couple more months. ISA Browns lay brown eggs, but these are brown with white spots...anyone know if that fits? I have 3 different types of chickens and right now they are not talking.

    And now it has a "twin!"[​IMG]

    Look for the hen with the nice red comb and widest hips. That's how I pick out my layers. A few years and a good number of eggs later I still remember how exited I got about our first egg. I screamed so loud my DH came running, thinking somethings wrong [​IMG]
