One of my banties has been laying a little white egg almost every other day for about a week and a half, she's the only of my 8 girls who is laying. This morning I went out to do some checks and I found a GREEN egg! [IMG] WHOA! So one of my Ameraucana's is laying now and I lucked out that she is laying an honest to goodness GREEN egg. [IMG] I didn't know what to expect exactly with the egg color of the Ameraucanas, I thought I'd get some green or blue tinted eggs at best, but more than likely some brown. This looked like it came right out of easter dye!!! Oh, it was soooooo cool! I'll post pics tomorrow!! Yippee!

Congrats! I get a little blue/green egg (robin egg color and size) from my bantam EE every couple days. It's the sweetest little thing, just like her [IMG]

Forgot to add... It was almost a regular sized egg! Oh, and she is two days over 25 weeks today!

I have an EE that just started laying yesterday....it is a pretty aqua blue. Size wise it is as big as a large you would get at the store! [IMG]

I can't wait for my Ameraucana to start laying. The breeder I got her from breed for blue eggs, so I hope to see one soon! I am so jealous![IMG]

Kool! We have 3 Amerucanas that are 24-26 weeks but still no eggs. How old were yours before they laid? Can you post a pic of the egg?

Here is a pic of my girls first egg. I was shocked it was so big! [IMG]

Sorry I didn't clean it up first, but took the pic to send DH as soon as I got it from the nest.
