I just saw some interesting ads for chickens on my local Craig's List.

Anaconda roosters and chickens for sale. $6.00 each Please call #####

They must get really big if they are "anacondas"!!!! [IMG] I'm assuming the seller is trying to sell araucanas (but probably not pure!)

    I also saw this ad:

I need a little pure silkie rooster, any color. will have an excellent loving home, and two adorable little hens to keep happy. kept warm and cozy during the winter. clean and fed every day. Please let him be young enough to fill eggs and last a few years. thanks

    young enough to FILL eggs?[IMG]

Is that what the kids are calling it these days, "filling eggs?" hmm

Maybe they still think that they need a roo to get eggs?

Someone near Reno was selling "anaconda" chickens too. They meant ancona. I have a hard time buying chickens from someone who doesn't even know what breed they have.

What's really funny is that Martha Stewart messed up and called them the same thing.

I think they meant fill eggs with baby chicklets [IMG] I, too, find the references to anacondas when referring to chickens to be hysterical. If I could draw at all well, I wonder how I could make it look like a chicken AND an anaconda at the same time [IMG]
