Ancona Ducks

I have two ancona ducks that my husband got me for my birthday. We keep them in our house as pets and I love them to death. I was raised on a farm in North Carolina and now live in the City so I guess it's just my way of keeping a little bit of the farm with me. Anyway they will be six months old December and Lucy just layed her first egg in my house, is this too soon. I don't remember anything about the ducks from my childhood so I would like to be more educated on this.
