One of my black austalorps started laying a week or so ago at 16 weeks old.
I have gotten 9 small eggs all the same size, and I went out there today, and
got this one. Is it normal for them all of the sudden to lay a normal size egg
and not gradually get bigger.

It happened to me with the Americauna yesterday. Everyone says it happens and its normal.

I think it can be normal. We have a Delaware who has laid maybe 7 eggs so far. The 5th egg was HUGE! Like twice as big as the others. Next day, normal sized egg. Who knows? They're weird, they're chickens, we love them!
