Another Barred Rock Sex question

    We think that this is a cock. What do you think? It is a 3 week old barred rock.

    dunno. maybe. i will put my money on 'hen'
    i had two barred rocks i was SURE were roosters.
    big floppy combs and wattles.
    nope. they are my best layers.

    waiting isn't as much fun as guessing though!!

    It is hard to tell. It would be a lot easier if you had other hatch mates next to him in order to compare the two.

    We got two barred rocks at the same time. This one looks bigger and has slightly bigger comb and waddles. The other one has different coloration also, it is mostly blackish gray.

    Roos will look more gray with blk barring, pullets will be more Blk with gray barring... [​IMG]
