another newbie question

i am just about finished with my coop and everything. I was wondering if the coop itself needs to be fully enclosed. I was thinking about just closing up 3 sides and leaving the front toward the run open so i will be able to get in there and clean it easier. Thanks

I'm assuming you're in an area where it doesn't get cold in winter?

The only issue with what you describe is what happens when you get a hard windy rain from the open direction. You don't want soaked bedding and soaked chickens. If you have a laaaarrge roof overhang it might not be a problem.
