Hi all, been reading the forum for a couple days and decided to join today. My husband and I live on 7 acres in Missouri and are new to chickens. In March of this year, I bought 3 Black Australorps, 3 Buff Orpingtons, 2 Ameraucanas, 2 Silkies and 1 Polish Crested. I just started getting eggs alittle over 2 weeks ago. In 16 days, I've gotten a total of 29 eggs. Today was my biggest haul to date, 5 eggs! My Ameraucanas and Silkies haven't started laying yet and my Polish turned out to be a rooster. So right now, I only have 6 laying hens. Looking forward to reading more on this forum.
