Yesterday I was watching my girls what they do best when I saw movement. I didn't wait to see what it was so I got my trusty scoped 22. Came back outside and watched and waited. After a bit I saw movement again and so did the girls. The gray fox was trying to get to them. She found a section of fence she could squeez under. Fatal mistake. She didn't quite make it through the fence. It is a shame such a beautiful creature is such a killer. Let me say She didn't suffer. I did fix the section of the fence so maybe the will go to other places to eat. As soon as I get home I'll try to post a picture. Don't worry she looks like she is sleeping.

Thank goodness your flock is ok. It is sad when you have to kill something. I don't know anyone that enjoys it. But you have to protect your girls.

Good thing you stopped it before it became a problem!
