5 1/2 Month old NH Hen. Just this evening she started moaning and sneezing. She's isolated, has food and water.

Doesn't look to have any discharge anywhere.

Turkeys decided she need to be pecked on hard, all four were going after her.

    She'll probably die.

I'll keep you updated unlike 90% of threads like these where the OP just disappears like a mysterious mystery.

It sounds like she may need some Tylan or oxytetracycline in case she has a respiratory disease such as infectious bronchitis or MG. It won't treat bronchitis, but can prevent secondary infections such as MG and others.

Maybe some vitamin supplements / electrolytes will help boost the immune system also.

Electrolytes are in the water. I'm out of ACV and now the Electrolytes.

I did end up remembering where a heater was and put that on her.

After an hour or so she stopped sneezing still moaning a little though not as bad.

It sounds like the start of a cluck and ends with a sad sigh? If that makes sense.

I haven't checked on her this morning yet will shortly, not sure about these treatments, she's one of 9 hens for our family I bought extras incase we lost any plus I got shipped an extra hen. It seem to come on sudden and with the Turkeys pecking on her. All the hens will die one day but that doesn't mean I can't take care of them... we had one rooster getting pecked on, his back was wet and feathers looked bad... got out the hair dryer, fixed him up and sent him out. About 4 weeks later that skinny little rooster was in a vacuum bag, did it myself.

Well she's not moaning anymore, not doing anything else weird, I jokingly told my wife that "well she's not breathing either so of course that's why" Sorry you all have to deal with my sense of humor and over the years it hasn't got any better.

She's purring softly this morning. seems ready to get out and seize the day. Will wait for the sun to come up first of course.

That type of thing called stridor can be common temporarily from mucus, or no reason at all. Glad to hear that she is better.
