We had another processing party today and once again we all had a fantastic time. A great way to spend a Sunday, eating fresh fried chicken with the people that you love [IMG] MoodusNewChicken, PurpleChicken, Drumstick, and swapyankee were all there. It's great that we have a little group of friends that will do this with each other. We got there pretty early around 10:30am, and stayed until about 6:30pm. The day flew by! We processed 23 birds in all, 22 meaties, and 1 of PC's brabanters, it would have end up being 24 birds but we saved Big Boy(PC's spitz), just couldn't see him go into the pot, we're all too attached to him [IMG] After we were done with all the birds we fried up one of the chickens in PC's turkey fryer, that was probably the BEST chicken I've ever eaten. Can't wait until our meaties are big enough to process, plus that means another processing party [IMG]

Here is a short video(and pictures) I edited from today:

And to clear up all the hairy back rumors:

PC does NOT have a hairy back, and no wildsky did not come over and wax it for him [IMG] His legs though, are a different story..

Great pics PP. We CT BYCer's are having a good time together this year.

This was our third big get-together this season.

Thanks for helping me clear up the hairy back thing but now I feel fat. [IMG]

(should have watched the video first!) I am very impressed with the video and wish I had watched it before processing my own birds!
Great job on explaining the process! Foolish question, what are the metal tools on the table with the lady with black hair/blue shirt is plucking.
    Great job!!!!

    Quote:Hi Spook,
your question is not foolish. those tools are a caponizing kit. Swampyankee was practicing so that in the future we can keep our roos and not worry about fertile eggs...well, that's my goal.

I had to scroll through the pics again, i think you're referring to me in the pink shirt. how funny, i'm closer in age to PC than PP...but i love when i still get carded!!
