What I want to do is this... When my baby duck hatches i want to leave it in bator for half an hour then take the baba out and into brooder, here is my question "Do I "have" to leave the ducky in the bator until it is "completely" dry? i.e not two hours? I want to cuddle him! xxx

I remove my chicks as they become active in the bator, but I keep my brooder, under the light about 99/100 until they are all hatched and dry. I am very hands on but I wouldn't do a lot of handling until they are dry because it's easier for them to catch a chill.
