This one is kind of like if a tree falls in the woods with no one around does it still make a sound:)

    Anyways,

I have an adult rooster that I got from someone. He has been the daddy roo of their chicks, however I have never saw him mate or even attempt to mate with any of his new flock. He does fancy me however...Is he just ninja mating?

He respects your authority and takes care of business when you're not around.

It is possible he is not mating, or maybe he's just shy to do it around you. If you really want to know, you could set up a webcam in the coop. [IMG]

I gave a Roo to my neighbors for their hens. They claim it took him a few weeks before he stated mating, so maybe he just needs some adjustment time.

I had a few chickens that I had gotten and kept seperated for a few weeks. Just added them in tonight and he picked a beautiful black star to do the dance with:)
