Hello all! Another newbie from corsicana tx! Ive been a lurker for a quite sometime now and finally signed up! I want to give a big thx to all the knowledgeable people on here for the great wealth of knowledge. I have learned alot thru here and hope to keep learning now that ive signed up and i can ask questions. I have about 20 chickens right now but am expanding very quickly. I have close to 40 eggs in a incubator (first time ive used one, hope it works) i had about 100 eggs that hens were sitting on but snakes have claimed almost everyone of those. There is a thread in predators about my snake problem...

I will get a few pics of my coops and chickens later and will post for yall to see!

Welcome to BYC. Snakes have been a problem here as well. No egg eaters, chick/pullet killers.

    A few pics

This is a cage i made out of a old chemical bucket. I took the bucket out and used the braces to hold it in as a little roost. I removed one of the solid pieces off the side and cut the brace for a door. Good to keep little one safe near the house at night.

The 3 bigger one are my first to hatch. The other i got from a neighbor.

This is my biggest coop so far. 3 diffrent pens. We had a really bad rain / wind storm last month and really caused a lot of wind damage. You can still see some in the pics. I fixed what i need to to keep them in , but i had several horse barns and pens get damaged also so ive been repairing them as well.

3rd room not using right now due to roof being completly ripped off.

The girls and my game rooster. He is the dad to the 3 older chicks

    Making more lil cheepers
