    [​IMG][/IMG]Can anyone identify these tan chicks with brown markings. 3 came from the pullets bin, and 2 came from a straight run bin. All are tan/cream. Except for 2 white ones that I'm not interested in identifying. Just the tan/cream colored ones. Thanks guys! [​IMG]

    These are more than likely Production Reds.

    Hi! What does a production red mean? Thanks for your help! Also, what will thy look like as adults?

    A production red is a hybrid made with Rhode Island Reds and New Hampshires. They are lighter in color (there's a lot of color variation) than Rhode Island Reds and lay better. As a note, even though they are a hybrid, they breed true. Here's an example:

    I bought some production reds from TSC this year too! They're already several months old and enjoying the wonderful spring weather we've been having :)
