After spotting airheart43's great find with her $80 Lowes Wood Playhouse coop, I started poking around on the net. I couldn't find any of the Lowes locally that had the Belamy, but I *did* find the Savannah model on clearance at Toys'R'Us for $249.99 ... and they happened to just have one left! So we bought it to add to our outdoor decor.
Don't have it shipped. It doubles the cost and negates the good savings. If you're interested, call your local Toys'R'Us stores to see if they have any left in stock.
This will end up going on top of a raised platform/floor a few feet away from the "big red barn". Going to use it for when I start hatching a few eggs in the spring, as a way to keep the young ones away from my older flock. I'll make sure to put hardware cloth over the windows and then make a solid cover for the front door window for the winter time to quell the drafts. The rest of the windows have those shutters, which according to the packaging, are functional! I will attempt to weather-seal them.
Couldn't resist the working weather vane with the rooster! Vents are built in on either end of the roof too.
