Antibiotic and dose for dog attack? **pic added**

I already sutured the vere large wound edges together. What antibiotics do you use for dog bites/large tissue injuries? The bites went across most of her back. The picture is of the last part we closed. Thanks

I'm not a vet, but I think one might use something like Clavamox, amoxicillin, Cephalexin (Keflex) or maybe SMZ/TMP. Google dog bite antibiotics and see what you find.

Clavamox is the veterinary version of Augmentin. When my vet prescribed it for my 3 kg bird it was 250 mg twice a day for 10 days. For the 4 kg bird it was 500 mg twice a day for 10 days.

Keflex for my 3 kg bird was 250 mg twice a day for 10-14 days (I don't remember).
