Hey guys I'm new here and new to the chicken world. Just recently our neighbors husband died and they had to sell their house and ended up leaving a flock of 21 young "Easter eggers" behind. It appears to me that they only had roosters as the oldest birds, and the hens have just started to lay within the last two weeks and unfortunatly they aren't broody. But any ways I was just wanting to introduce my self my name is Ashley and I'm 22, a mother of 2 and a adoptive parent to 21 beautiful birds! Anyways as you can probably tell I enjoy talking and would love to get to know fellow chicken enthusiests!

Hello and welcome to BYC [IMG] Broodiness is a hormonal thing that can struck any time. Some hens are more prone to it than others. Enjoy your beautiful birds and I'll see you round the forum!
