I know that barred birds feather out differently, with males being 'whiter' than females. I was wondering if SLW do this as well, cause some of mine (that are supposed to be all pullets, but you know how that goes) look whiter than the others.

I raised 2 slw's and they were both girls, and one was way whiter than the other. It does not mean it is a rooster

The roos will normally have more of a "streaky" lacing on their backs while the pullets will have more defined lacing when they're young. As the roos mature they definately have more white on their backs.
