Any doubts this is a Barred Rock cockerel? Any chance it’s a pullet? I’m a new chicken owner, and I’m learning a lot. I can’t see the appropriate feathers as well in this type of coloring. Holding out some hope. Ha!

100% cockerel at 3 months.
Ok. Trying to find good homes for 4 accidental roosters is no joke. 😞 My husband was all “are they SURE sure they’re cockerels” when I told him the unfortunate news last night. I was showing him the feathers on the other two last night, but this one doesn’t have them quite as obvious yet for we amateur owners.

I'm so sorry. 😔

If they aren't fighting or crowing, you can hold off a few weeks and process.
Yes. We just relocated (yesterday) the current dominant who was crowing, biting and jumping on top of the white cockerel to my husband’s property until someone picks him up today. These other three have yet to figure out who’s boss yet I guess so they’re still quiet and civil. Doing our BEST to find good homes. I know they’re just chickens. But it’s all so upsetting.

Sometimes when the crowing one leaves the next one quickly finds its voice.
