The yellow one is probably a Pekin and the black one is a Cayuga.

awwww! The pekin looks like my duckie Peter.... The black one is mst likely a cayuga since he's only a little smaller than the other.

Here's my Pekin... He's abut the same age:

Well, in a few more weeks, they will look like this (7 week old pekins in the front, 4 week old cayugas [and rouens] in the back):

And as adults, they will look like this (cayuga on the left and in the back, pekins all over!):

Sorry, but I have rouens everywhere! Don't mind them [IMG] I wonder why the cayugas are always behind the pekins in my pics? [IMG]

The males will have a single curl in their tail, the hens will be completely smooth. [IMG]

Quote:My pekin (baby) girl started making a quacking sound at 2 weeks old. The cayugas (there are 4) are *at this point* 2 boys and 2 girls, since 2 of them make the quacking sound. They are about 4\\5 weeks old, and they just started about a week ago. So you can tell by their sound when they are still pretty tiny. The drake feathers don't come in till they are at least 4 months old.
