Hello all :)
So we have blue laced marran, BR, and buff laced polish hens with a black copper marran rooster. One of our marran hens has gone broody and is stealing all the eggs to sit on, lol. Shes got 5 polish eggs under her, any body have an idea what they are going to turn out looking like?

He should be gold birchen (I understand that some black birds with copper leakage are also sold as black copper Marans, and given hatcheries, best to not assume)

Lacing is based on partridge, so your polish are partidge.

The chicks, thus, should be gold Birchen/Partridge. Birchen is dominant to partridge, so the chicks should come out Birchen. Mostly. There'll be a lot of leakage. There should also be small, sort of half-crests.

The v-comb and the straight comb'll usually cross to make a sort of incomplete version of both, with tiny points and a slight divide in the back. There'll be some that look more like a V-comb, and some that look more like a straight comb.

The foot feathers (if your Copper has any) should come through, but not as many as he has. Some may not have any.

Do you think any of the poofy heads will come through? And if roos, would they be sleek like the BCM or crazy headed like polish roos?

Isn’t sebright lacing (the lacing that polish have) based on birchen?

'Kay. I can't find any pictures. But Kippenjungle says that all of the genes used to create sebright lacing are dominant. So they should look mostly laced, but with some messiness, especially in the chest area?

That’s what I think too. Also, the black will be replaced with white in the offspring, since buff laced is gold laced with dominant white.
