Flower

Uno

Flower and Uno are almost 3 weeks old. Flower hatched out of a not too big cream egg and Uno out of a big pointy tan egg with speckles. I thought Uno was probably either a Welsummer or an orloff maybe? Some people thought Easter egger but I've never seen an we lay a spotted egg like that , they also have straight combs and clean legs. The guy I got the eggs from didn't lable just have a mix of his breeds. Some were marans clearly but these two I don't know. Based on what it know he has flower could be a Swedish flower hen or ee or something else too. Please let me know if you have any guesses they're very very sweet even for rarely being held.

They could both be Welsummers. Easter Egger is a possibility, too.

Thanks I also thought maybe speckles sussex - I have one the same age and age looks quite similar

Not Speckled Sussex, they have mottled plumage and white/pink legs. I'd say yours are definitely Welsummers, with the penciled plumage and yellow legs.

They look like Welsummer chicks. They are unlikely to be Easter Eggers with those yellow legs (although it's not impossible).

Awesome thanks I would love them to be welsummers do they ever lay cream eggs though? That was my main reason for thinking at least flower was something else

Welsummers can lay a range of brown shades.

My welsumer eggs are dark and speckled, but they can get lighter towards the end of a clutch. Both could be welsumers but if they are, I'm guessing Flower is a girl and Uno a boy.
