Any Lakenvelders here??

I recently picked up three Lakenvelder pullets about 4 months old at the auction. they are in quarenteen right now - so far no bugs or signs of icky stuff. Mine are more buff in coloring with black feathering then the silver/white in the breed standard.

Anyone have these birds and if so, what advice/info. could you share about them? tks.

Mine were descent egg layers, they were a bit on the wild side but not as bad as leghorns.

I have a few not laying age yet. A bit flighty but very beautiful. Mine are the golden lakenvelders.
You need a rooster? I have way more than I need.
I hatched our a dozen eggs and only got 4 pullets and 8 roosters I'm keeping 2 roos. So I have 6 to pick from.

I have a trioe Roicky, Lucy and Ethel. The girls are not laying yet, but getting close.

I only have apic of Ricky, he and Lucy went to the fair and did good.

I have 5 lakenvelders. I love them... still not as flighty as my leghorns... but nothing can beat them
