My mama duck had her nest in the back of her igloo kennel, and when I came home and went to check on her and see if any had hatched, I got a surprise.

She moved all 15 of her eggs to the very entrance of the igloo.

I felt around in the back and there were no ants, no water leakage, no nothin, (lol)

The only thing was some of her droppings.

It gets down to about 30 degrees here, why would she move her entire nest?

lol, Not much of a view, both kennels are facing inward, straight into a wooden wall.

As for the warmth, it might be, but i dont see how when the highest it has been in 57.

Im thinking that she may let my lil duckling in there with her and keep the males out, or that she sits near the edge so that she can be near her eggs and the males at the same time for warmth?

    Im not sure though

As for the standing outside in the cold, i just got in from doing pools, when i went to dump the water out I couldnt even stand to have my hands in it for more than a few seconds yet my duckling was sleeping in it!
    Crazies, lol.
